As a native of Calgary, Mr. Matas has taught piano and music theory in the city for over 10 years. He is an active member of ARMTA and APTA, and continues to study and collaborate with prominent musicians.
Michael Matas’ publication, “A First Course at the Piano: 100 Studies” has been a successful tool in building a strong musical foundation in beginner music students. Its popularity is ever-growing among piano teachers.
Mr. Matas continues to accept new students in the city of Calgary.
